Delete your StoryCut data
StoryCut by Mondrus CCS Inc has no accounts, and your videos and photos never leave your device. You can delete everything the App keeps on your phone yourself, and you can ask us to delete the analytics and crash data linked to your installation here, even if you have already uninstalled the App.
If the button does not open email, write to storycut@mondoapps.app with the subject “StoryCut data deletion request”.
Delete data on your device
- One story: on the StoryCut home screen, press and hold a story under Recent stories and confirm deletion.
- All App data: open Android Settings → Apps → StoryCut → Storage and tap Clear storage, or uninstall StoryCut. This deletes your projects, settings and the App’s Firebase identifiers on this device.
- Saved parts: the videos StoryCut saved are your files in the gallery folder Movies/StoryCut. Delete them in your gallery or file manager. Uninstalling the App does not delete them.
- Advertising ID: to reset or delete it, open Settings → Privacy → Ads (the path may differ on your device).
Request deletion of data we hold
Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics store usage events and crash reports linked to a pseudonymous identifier of your installation, not to your name or email. To ask us to delete them, email storycut@mondoapps.app and include, if you can:
- your device model and Android version;
- the approximate date you installed StoryCut and the dates you used it;
- your country.
We will delete the analytics and crash data we can match to your installation within 30 days and confirm by email. If we cannot reliably match any data to you, we will tell you. Do not send passwords, payment card numbers or your videos.
What is deleted and what is kept
Deleted: analytics events, user properties and crash reports linked to your installation identifier, and your support emails once your request is complete.
Kept: aggregated reports that do not identify you; and records we must keep for security, fraud prevention or legal reasons, for as long as the law requires. Analytics data is in any case deleted automatically after no more than 14 months and crash reports after 90 days. Advertising data is held by Google AdMob and its partners under their own policies; resetting your Advertising ID breaks its link to your device.
Your subscription is separate. Deleting data or uninstalling StoryCut does not cancel or refund StoryCut Pro. Cancel it in Google Play subscriptions. Google keeps its own purchase records under its policies.
